Educational Theatre in South Africa

Flint Group CPS South Africa sponsors Storieskip to promote the importance of reading to children in rural areas of the Western and Southern Cape Provinces of South Africa.

Storieskip is a travelling Theatre company that focus on bringing education to Junior Schools and more importantly to the disadvantaged schools in the Western and Southern Cape Provinces of South Africa.

Storieskip has been operating successfully for the past 19 years. The background of their crew has had a positive influence on their success. Members have qualifications and experience in acting as well as teaching. They aim to introduce as many children possible to Theatre. That is why Flint Group sponsorship is so important.

With the help of Flint Group CPS, it is possible for them to reach children in the rural areas. For many children visit of the Storieskip is their first and sometimes only exposure to Theatre.

Flint Group Sponsorship is used for:

- Sponsoring under privileged schools;
- Keeping the Theatre on the road (petrol);
- Accommodation and food when touring (once a year);
- Sound and Editing;
- Costumes;
- Backdrops;
- Props;
- Rehearsals;
- Car for safe travels to transport theatre set and props.
