Trelleborg Energy Reduction

 

    

The Trelleborg plant of the Narrow Web business in Sweden produces a large proportion of the division’s total volume and supports the vast network of regional service centres.

Since 2019, significant investments have supported core performance enhancement including Safety and Sustainability. The facility is now operating on 100% renewable energy from hydro- , wind-, and sun power. This has reduced the emissions of green house gases by 38% per year. In addition, a heat recycling system for the compressors has been implemented to recycle heat back to the production facility. The system delivers annual energy savings equal to 12 000 kWh.

In 2019, the site connected to the municipality’s distant heating system that fully operates on bio fuels.
