High quality soft touch coating for commercial and packaging printing
Our strategy is to offer sheetfed packaging and commercial print customers the widest portfolio of products possible. Over the past few years we have experienced major increases in demand for speciality coatings, to help our customers differentiate their offer.
That’s why we recently invested in our water-based aqueous coatings factory in Willstätt, Germany, providing significant additional capacity and allowing us to add many new formulations, thus creating a truly breath-taking range of coatings.
The production techniques we have invested in are very energy efficient too.
Soft touch and very high gloss finishes are in high demand, with coatings suitable for cigarette packaging, in-mould labels and temperature resistance now becoming more important too. Wherever possible these products must also be low migration, following all EuPIA guidelines for food packaging printing. We believe this is a trend that will continue in both emerging and mature markets globally.

We are announcing the launch of low migration, ISEGA certified water-based coatings range for direct food contact (DFC). The introduction comes on the back of extensive research into the market for coatings, which highlighted the need for more complex product technologies suitable for direct food contact. When added to the standard Novaset® range, creates a complete portfolio for packaging printers.
